FAQs

Do you comply with Australian Standards?

Yes. All steel supplied by HUIS Group is fabricated to meet or exceed relevant AS/NZS standards, including:

• AS/NZS 5131 – Fabrication & Erection
• AS 4100 – Steel Structures
• AS/NZS 3678 / 3679 / 1163 – Plates, Sections, and Tubes
• AS/NZS 1554.1 – Welding

We also provide SGS and third-party inspection certificates and ACRS-ready documentation if required. Any further ISO standards required can be provided as required.

How do you manage quality control offshore?

We have Australian-trained QA teams embedded at our partner factories. In addition, we engage independent third-party inspectors (SGS or equivalent) to verify every order before shipment. QA includes weld checks, dimensional control, material traceability, and coating verification

What documentation do you provide?

Every order includes a full QA and compliance pack:

• Mill Test Certificates (MTCs)
• Welding and coating reports
• Dimensional & NDT reports (if applicable)
• Batch traceability logs
• Packing lists and QR-coded item IDs

Can you deliver directly to site?

Yes. We offer door-to-door delivery across Australia, including sequencing to align with your install program. Our logistics service includes packing, shipping, insurance, customs clearance, and transport to your jobsite - or storage if required.

What’s your minimum order size?

Our steel supply is most economical for orders of 20 tons or more. For anything below 20T, we’ll advise whether local supply may be more cost-effective.

What are your lead times?

Lead times vary by scope, finishing requirements, and project location:

• fabrication timeframes are determined during scoping
• sea freight port to port starts from 30 days

We work closely with you to align deliveries with your program.

Who do I deal with during the project?

You’ll deal directly with the HUIS Group team in Australia from start to finish — no offshore handballing or lost-in-translation issues. Our team includes commercial managers, QA leads, and project coordinators who understand your build, your schedule, and your expectations.
